Business Improvement, Service Lean, Operational Excellence APC

Vestas' Global Service business was spun out as a separate business unit during 2014 due to the growing commercial and strategic significance of the service business. With our corporate strategy "Profitable Growth for Vestas" we have communicated specific, ambitious growth targets for service in coming three years. To achieve such targets while keeping our cost base steady requires a fundamental shift in how we operate - commercially as well as operationally.

The Global Service LEAN team is responsible for defining further our Service Business' continuous improvement and execution excellence culture. We improve the process for Strategy Deployment, work on establishing global concepts, and implement breakthrough improvements based on world class methodologies such as Lean, Transactional Process Improvement and Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

  • You will be part of the global Business Improvement team that in different geographical regions constantly work on increasing the Lean maturity of the Service business, and completing improvements to reduce operational costs and enabling the business growth in terms of revenue
  • You will engage with - and support the organization to enable revenue growth and improve cost reduction of operations by improving transactional processes and backend operations
  • You will suggest improvements based on future state Value Streams and enable the prerequisites by applying transactional process improvement
  • Perform process mapping (TPI VSM/PFC) vs Capacity
  • Deliver inputs for the Lean Transformation roadmap based on VSM/process flow charts
  • Reduce operational costs through TPI events (Organization)
  • Increase revenue generation through process improvements
  • Execution on roadmap and projects as per plan
  • Facilitate the increase of activity level with same employees or adjustments to required capacity

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree with 10-15 years of technical experience
  • Minimum 5 years of LEAN TPI experience and track of achievement
  • Experience with LEAN TPI in different environments (i.e. manufacturing, service and transactional)

Competencies

  • Either certification or certified experience or education in continuous improvement disciplines
  • Quality implementation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to create impact & connect with employees and managers at all levels
  • Ability to follow up in different countries (or areas within a country)
  • Stamina and ability to 'juggle' more activities/projects simultaneously
  • Focused and have experience bringing improvements based on Value Stream Mapping and kaizen workshop
  • Superior written/verbal presentation and communication skills in English
