Job Summary

Roles and Responsibilities

Medical Coder will perform surgery coding and claim submissions, and manage coding escalations, including denials and appeals. The position will monitor the medical records to ensure that they adequately support services coded and billed in accordance with the US state and federal regulations.

Desired Candidate Profile

Must be a certified coder through AAPC or AHIMA (CPC, COC or CCS)
Minimum experience of 2 years in Surgery coding in US healthcare environment required
Strong knowledge of CPT, E&M, HCPCS and ICD-10 codes needed
Must have experience of data entry into a practice management (PM) software
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PM software systems
Excellent written and oral English communication skills
Work night shifts
