Roles and Responsibilities: As a Plumbing and Fire Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and ensuring the efficient and compliant plumbing and fire protection systems within buildings. Your key tasks and responsibilities will include: Design and Layout: Develop plumbing and fire protection system designs, including water supply, drainage, sewage, and fire sprinkler systems, considering spatial constraints and regulatory requirements. IS Standards and Codes: Interpret and apply relevant IS standards, building codes, and safety regulations to ensure that designs comply with industry guidelines and local regulations. Collaboration: Work closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate plumbing and fire protection systems seamlessly into building designs. Calculations: Perform calculations for pipe sizing, flow rates, pressure losses, and hydraulic analysis to ensure optimal performance of plumbing and fire protection systems. Documentation: Create detailed design drawings, specifications, and documentation that accurately depict the plumbing and fire protection systems for construction and regulatory approval. Quality Assurance: Review and verify designs for accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with standards, making necessary revisions as required. Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers to ensure that plumbing and fire protection design phases are on schedule and within budget. Requirements: Skills: Proficiency in CAD software for creating plumbing and fire protection system designs.
