Job Description
Business Transformation & Automation: Business Change Manager Projects, Adoption, Change Readiness & Training
Summary:
As a key member of the BTA Projects, Adoption, Change Readiness & Training team, this individual will be responsible for providing thought leadership, overall governance, strategic leadership on critical transformational initiatives across diverse business and stakeholder groups including; but not limited to Operations teams, HR, Legal, REW and other business functions within VMware. The individual will also be responsible for driving strategy and managing the delivery of training, change readiness, and adoption activities for projects and provide on-going training on applications utilized by the impacted business groups. This position will require a high level of leadership skills, mentoring skills, stakeholder management capabilities, thought leadership, organization, verbal and written communication skills, along with a positive attitude and ability to work well with teams from around the world.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor a team to support overall and integrated Change Readiness, Adoption, and Training for the Customer Operations organization
- Represent BTA PACT team on project teams, delivering best practices on Adoption, Change Readiness, and Training to the Project Leadership
- Interview Key Project Stakeholders and Project Management to determine Adoption metrics and measurements, Training timeline and deliverables, and to plan the Change Management timeline and deliverables, including approval mechanisms
- Maintain Project Plan for ACT Team deliverables on project, updating Project Team and management as appropriate
- Develop, create, and maintain training documents - including Cheat Sheets, presentations, and training scripts interviewing appropriate project members to determine process inputs for training materials in English. Participate in CRP and UATs to better understand deployment deliverables and create training materials. Provide UAT Training as a testing ground for end user training. Deliver End User training, managing all Training logistics, including facilities scheduling, requesting and tracking Super User / Project Team participation, execution, and follow up surveys in English
- Work with appropriate development teams on Adoption metrics creation and determine documentation process, roles and responsibilities within project team on metric delivery, and delivery communication methods for pre and post launch
- Develop and create timelines and written Communications to project stakeholders, end users, and other project participants in English
- Effectively own Super User and End User engagement and communication strategies promoting collaboration, ensuring input received is delivered to appropriate teams
- Provide advanced, on-going, new hire, and ad hoc training as requested on supported applications. Maintain and update all documentation such as cheat sheets, training scripts, and training presentations in English
- Work to constantly improve offerings of Adoption, Change Management, and Training teams, reaching out to End Users to provide bridge from Business to BTA
- Become system and process experts in one of the supported applications, including but not limited to Salesforce.com and Oracle Business Intelligence (including Answers and Dashboards)
- Demonstrate strong overall consulting approach to help solve critical business problems for stakeholders
- Provide strategic change readiness and consulting best practices at a portfolio level, and be able to govern an entire business portfolio to offer a sustained, end-to-end engagement
- Elevate overall engagement with stakeholders to identify additional service offering avenues to provide holistic organizational transformation and change capability enablement
Requirements:
- Adoption, Change Management, and Training experience within a highly dynamic corporate environment with strong Sales Operations and IT organizations, preferably with a channel sales organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail are imperatives
- Ability to self-start, have strong communication, planning, organization and time management skills to effectively develop and execute Training, Adoption, and Change Management deliverables
- Ability to interview and collaborate with Field Sales, Sales Operations, Channel Marketing, Order Management, Support Teams, IT, and Senior Management to gather input on training, change management, and adoption deliverables
- Expert knowledge in one of the following applications: Salesforce.com or Oracle Business Intelligence
- Proficient English speaker and writer, able to effectively communicate, train, create training materials, and correspond in English, including creating training materials in MS PowerPoint
- Experience working cross-culturally, internationally, across multiple time-zones
- Collaborative attitude
- BS and 7+ years experience, prefer 1 year in a project track leadership capacity
- 3+ years managing a Change Readiness / Adoption / Training team within a global organization
- Knowledge of Project Management fundamentals and Agile development cycle methodology is an added plus
- Proficient with tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, Office 365, Captivate, Confluence, Salesforce
