Job Requisition

• New Graduate - Cloud Infrastructure Administrator (Open)

Responsibilities:
Actively participate as a key team member of the VMware IT Cloud Infrastructure Operations team to provide production infrastructure support for business applications. Depending on the critical priorities relevant at the time, your role could include the following activities:

Support IT disaster recovery efforts
Deploy VMware infrastructure products for production use
Work in an on-call rotation for production support
Work closely with the IT Windows, Linux, and storage teams to complete IT projects for the business
Document infrastructure standards and diagrams
Manage patches and firmware updates for IT infrastructure software and hardware.
Participate in VMware on VMware efforts to test and evaluate new releases of VMware software
Assist Sales teams by meeting with external VMware customers to collaborate on projects similar to what VMware IT had completed in the past
Develop scripts and automation for repetitive infrastructure tasks

Work on Weekends and Rotating shift

Frequent contact with manager

Requirements:
Upcoming graduate, bachelors degree required, Degree in Computer Science or related technical field preferred
Familiar with technology and open to picking up new technology skills.
Self-motivated with a high attention to detail and ability to multitask
An unwavering positive attitude, strong drive for results, and the ability to deal with ambiguity are a must
Applicants need to be comfortable working with others and in a team environment
Must be open to receiving constructive criticism (feedback) and applying and integrating the feedback in an effort to improve their results
Demonstrates good judgment in analyzing information to make routine decisions

Knowledge can be demonstrated either through direct experience or similar experiences through internships

Knowledge with Scripting or Automation languages (bash/perl/python/powercli/ruby/go)

Knowledge of Red Hat, Centos, Ubuntu Linux OS.
