Job Role and Responsibility:

We are searching for a talented, dynamic, hands-on Database Administrator with K8s experience.

You will work closely with a team who manages Databases , microservices, docker, PCF etc and play a key role in ensuring the best possible customer experience.

In this role, you will support more than 8 different types of database engine.

Automation of day to day activities by using Python/Shell

Work closely with development team and provide solutions for infrastructure requirements.

Communicate with internal VMware teams, both onshore and offshore, VMware customers and partners.

Work independently and effectively within and across teams

Required Skills:

1-4 years relevant experience

Design and installation experience of any database on Container technology (Docker), Kubernetes.

Scripting and automation experience must

Solid knowledge and demonstrated support of Linux RedHat server, BIND DNS, ESX Server, Virtual Center, NFS, LDAP, and SAN/NAS storage systems in a virtualized environment

Solid problem diagnosis, troubleshooting, and problem solvingskills

Solid verbal and written communications skills, working effectively with IT support teams, management, and internal users

Experience with MySQL, Mongo, Elastic or Oracle databases, Linux environment will be preferred

Works well both independently and as part of a team; attention to detail is essential for this position
