Job Description

Senior Analyst II is responsible for maintaining the statutory accounts for the Indian entity of VMware, preparation of the financial statements & related notes & liaise with the auditors to complete the audit. The role requires coordination with various teams in Finance to gather the required information & present the same in a timely manner for MIS reporting as well as business updates to auditors.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Accounting & preparation of annual financial statements under new Indian Accounting Standard (IND AS)
  • Presenting synopsis of important events, unique transactions, acquisitions during the financial year
  • Responsible for completion of statutory audit and tax audit working with auditors
  • Accounting of Stock based compensation in statutory financial statement under IND AS 102
  • Accounting of Leases as per IND AS 116 for statutory reporting
  • Reconciliation between US GAAP and IND AS signed financial statements
  • Capitalization of fixed assets as per IND AS threshold for stat reporting
  • Build & maintain SAP fixed asset register for India legal entity for statutory reporting.
  • Maintaining books of accounts in statutory ledger for Indian entity
  • Review of financials filled in XBRL taxonomy filling with ROC.
  • Accounting for M&A at local level, filing the merger application & NCLT process
  • Preparation & review of balance sheet reconciliations for statutory financials, as per designed Internal financial control
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining process documentation
  • Deliver on ad-hoc assignments as business requires

Required Skills:

  • Chartered Accountant or equivalent
  • 3 to 4 years' industry experience managing Indian accounting
  • Understanding of fixed asset accounting with respect to capitalization & physical verification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability and motivation to work efficiently in a multi-task environment, both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues
  • Positive, collaborative approach and comprehensive business insight
  • Ability to work outside of standard office hours as per business requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of SAP would be an advantage
  • Good work ethic and sense of responsibility
