Senior Developer Consulting Engineer Storage and JAVA

• Work with a team of highly energetic Development Consulting Engineers who will be working on a number of VMware defined Development Programs with a number of VMwares Storage, Networking, IO devices partners in Hybrid cloud.
• Help partners in integrating VMware SDKs API with their (partners) solutions to list as VMware certified partners
• Investigate, Troubleshoot, isolate, root cause the reported product bugs/clarifications by partner while developing and integrating with VMware products.
• Cross functional engagement with VMwares product development teams and program teams to consult with partners on their reported issues with the eventual goal of bringing root cause/closure to the issues with a high quality of service.
• knowledge capture (Knowledge base articles, White papers etc.) for the team with a goal to scale the team to support more partners and more programs as the company grows

Key Skill Set

• Overall around 10+ years experience with At least 3 years of work experience as an Engineer who has successfully worked in the areas of Engineering consulting experience.
• Storage domain experience is a must Have worked in any of the storage area fields example NFS, File system, Multipathing, iSCSI, SAN, backup software, storage management etc.
• JAVA & Python programming experience is a must.
• Strong expertise of investigating/troubleshooting/reproduction and root causing the partner OEMS or customer reported problems is a strong plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
• Working knowledge of the following operating systems: Linux (Red Hat, SuSe) required with Windows and Solaris X86 as desirable. Also, A strong background in computer hardware and Intel x86 architecture.
• Must be a self-starter, and capable of owning and driving ideas and innovation into products
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills must be able to interact well with developers internally as well as at partner companies
• Prior hands on experience with VMwares vSphere Product line, especially in the areas of Storage, Networking, is highly Mandatory.
• A Bachelors degree will be considered for applicants with relevant experience, master's degree with Computer Science/Electrical engineering would be a plus.
