VMware Security Response Program Managers are responsible for triage, investigation, management and communication of security vulnerabilities reported to VMware by external researchers. You will maintain the highest quality of work while driving programs to completion, prioritizing incoming requests, contending priorities and managing communications. You will work closely with a variety of teams across VMware to achieve our goal of protecting our customers. The role will focus on the growth and management of product and cloud services from a security perspective and will require involvement in the authoring of vSRC communications including security advisories, blogs and knowledge base articles.

Our Security Response Program Managers are experienced and highly motivated. We are seeking an equally motivated individual to be a member of this team. You will be expected to:

• Assist and execute on day to day activities of the team.
• Work with product teams to influence and coordinate remediation of vulnerabilities within a limited timeframe.
• Drive programs and processes to support PSIRT for both on-premise and SaaS products and services.
• Build PSIRT expertise, creating and maintaining process and policy documentation.
• Deliver education sessions to various stakeholders across the global organization.
• Identify, discuss and implement opportunities for PSIRT improvements.
• Be part of the security ecosystem of hackers, security researchers, and vendors by contributing to discussions and visiting conferences.

RequiredSkills

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Risk Management or similar technical field strongly preferred.
• Minimum five years experience in handling externally reported security vulnerabilities.
• Ability to translate business objectives into execution strategy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience investigating security vulnerabilities and exploits.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, deliverables and projects in a dynamic environment.
• Self-motivated, independent, and works well within and across functional teams.
• Ability to advance processes and systems to guide the success of the VMware PSIRT.
• The passion to make VMware customers more secure.
