Job Description
VMware NSBU HCX team is seeking a Senior QE engineer with a proven track record for delivering high quality software products. You will be joining a team of talented engineers to build the next-generation cloud infrastructure and services .You will participate in all phases of the software development life cycle; help maintain technical acumen in key technology areas to help guide the evolution of our platform. As a QE Engineer, you will be responsible for testing of various HCX related features.This includes systems administration along with test design, implementation, execution, debugging, testing automation and input to feature design. You will work closely with developers to help ship products with very high quality, with rich features and focusing on customer usage and needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop Test Design Specification document, Test Plans for various product release.
- Good Troubleshooting and debug skills.
- Testing automation design and coding. Have effective testing automation to reduce testing cycle and improve testing coverage.
- Work on complex software problems that often involve conducting primary research by running self-directed and precise experiments on multiple VMware platforms and operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
- Participate in architecture & design discussions within R&D community and come up with necessary tools that fit in the end-to-end automation framework.
Job Requirements
- BS/MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required.
- 7+ years of Enterprise software development or testing experience.
- Good understanding in testing methodology and experienced with automation testing.
- Solid experience in operational aspects of network technologies.
- Strong Python/Java programming skill.
- In depth knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and team work spirit.
- Good verbal and written English skills.
- Experience with VMware vSphere productions is a strong plus.
