Team is looking for a talented, passionatenetworking engineer to join the team.With the advent of IOT, edge computing is emerging as new frontier to blend the physical and virtual world, andenable new ways of solving problems, and deliver new experiences not available before. As industry shifts fromcentralised intelligence to distributed edge intelligence, edge computing presents great opportunities for growth andinnovation. As the leader of private, public and hybrid cloud, VMware is extending its offering to the edges, andbringing benefits of cloud to the edge.As a member of this team, you will play a key role in understanding customer use cases and defining the endto-endbehaviour of the solution. This solution will involve developing a highly scalable SaaS service, an easy to use on-premhyper converged infrastructure (HCI) and integrating with our SD-WAN product, Velocloud.Job Roles and Responsibilities:Work closely with team to understand product changes, involve in product design, implementation,deployment and monitoring Work experience in VMWare ESX and networking solutions Work experience with troubleshooting networking issues (L2-L7) Strong Knowledge of L3 and L2 Protocols (TCP, UDP, ARP, DHCP, ICMP, IPv4/IPv6, STP, VLTP, LACP) and Forwarding Strong understanding of L2 and L3 networks, VLANs Strong understanding of WAN Networking troubleshooting / debugging - e.g. tcpdump, wireshark, traceroute, route, netstat Reproduce customer reported issues in internal labs and think out of the box during this activity Experience in Automation/Python scripting. Knowledge on Containerization (Docker, Kubernaties). Experience on Amazon Web Services (AWS) like EC2, S3, VPC would be a plus Knowledge of networking, Virtualization, datacenter configurations, systems side programing and software. Knowledge of VMware vSphere, NSX and APIs.
