Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled WordPress Developer or WordPress CMS Expert proficient in PHP programming (OOP), MySQL, JavaScript, and jQuery to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing creative, functional, and responsive WordPress websites tailored to meet client requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of front-end and back-end development processes and will contribute to improving our product codebase.

You will be expected to develop WordPress websites from the ground up, ensuring the code is of the highest quality, fast, scalable, and performs well. Your expertise in WordPress CMS and related technologies will help in crafting dynamic and engaging web experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Website Development: Design, implement, and manage websites using WordPress, ensuring responsive design and functionality across multiple devices and platforms.
• Back-End Development: Handle back-end functionality, ensuring a smooth integration of databases (MySQL) and server-side components.
• Front-End Development: Develop interactive and responsive front-end features with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop solutions that match their expectations.
• Optimization & Performance: Ensure the performance, speed, and scalability of websites by optimizing code and resources.
• Troubleshooting & Debugging: Thoroughly test and debug websites across different browsers and devices using browser console and external tools.
• Third-Party Integrations: Integrate 3rd party services, APIs, and plugins with WordPress and Shopify.
• Shopify Development: If required, work with Shopify s theming system and Liquid templating, implementing/debugging Shopify apps and creating custom solutions.
• Maintenance & Updates: Regularly maintain and update websites, ensuring they stay current with the latest technologies and best practices.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Web Technologies: Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and DOM manipulation.
• WordPress Expertise: Proven experience developing websites with WordPress CMS, including creating themes and plugins.
• PHP & MySQL: Strong understanding of PHP programming (OOP) and MySQL databases.
• Shopify & E-commerce: Hands-on experience with Shopify theming, Liquid templating, and integration of e-commerce functionalities.
• CSS Pre/Post-processors: Experience with SASS or other CSS preprocessors.
• Debugging Skills: Excellent debugging skills using browser console and external debugging tools.
• Responsive Design: Experience in designing and developing responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Third-Party Service Integration: Experience working with third-party services, APIs, and plugins, particularly for WordPress and Shopify.
• Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Shopify s object/properties, AJAX API, and Meta fields.
• Understanding of website security best practices.
• Knowledge of modern development practices, version control (e.g., Git), and agile methodologies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
