Roles & Responsibilities Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using the best software development practices. Develop back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance Integrate data from various back-end services and databases. Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs. Create and maintain software documentation. Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site. Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and applies them to operations and activities. Implement security and data protection solutions. Integration of data storage solutions. Desired Skills Expertise in Python, SQL and Linux operating systems is required. Expertise in at least one popular Python framework (like Django, Flask or Pyramid). Proficiency with technologies in the data engineering ecosystem including DataBricks, Big Query, Spark, PySpark and Kafka. Knowledge of object-relational mapping (ORM). Familiarity with cloud tooling and offerings within Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platforms is expected. Analytical skills to analyse and draw actionable conclusions from large datasets. Object-oriented programming in Python or Java or C++ within a professional setting. Qualifications 8+ years in IT with min 2+ years as a Data engineer. Experience designing, building, testing and releasing software solutions in a complex, large organization Overall Experience level. Experience of working effectively in a globally distributed team, matrix organisation and group setting. Experience in developing Rester Services and coding multi-threaded programming with strong data structures knowledge. Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field
