- Strong OO Concepts.
- Has worked in start-up environment and understand the multi-facets of the role.
- Hands-on experience in coding for more than one currently popular web application framework.
- Familiar with more than one software development methodology, preferably scrum/agile.
- Skill with CSS, XHTML, one or more Javascript frameworks, and AJAX.
- Experience with system administration and web server configuration.
- Knowledge of Internet protocols and RFC standards, database management systems.
- Familiarity with technical requirements of Internet marketing and search engine optimization.
- Familiarity with information security vulnerabilities and risk management.
- Familiarity with consumer privacy and payments industry compliance requirements.
- Experience building highly-scalable web-based software products, utilizing N-tier architectures, dynamic content, and distributed processing.
- Familiarity with version control systems (SVN, GIT) and build management tools
