Job Summary

Responsibilities and Duties Interpret storyboards: The primary responsibility of a 3D animator is to interpret storyboards and bring them to life through movement and action. Create keyframe animations: 3D animators must create keyframe animations that define the movement and poses of the characters and objects in the scene. Refine animations: Animators must refine their animations, adding in additional keyframes and adjusting the timing and spacing to create smooth and natural movements. Collaborate with other artists: Animators work closely with other artists, such as 3D modeling artists, texture artists, and lighting artists, to ensure that the animation is consistent with the overall look and feel of the production. Test and refine animations: Animators must test and refine their animations to ensure that they work correctly and enhance the overall mood and atmosphere of the production. Problem-solving: Animators must be able to troubleshoot problems that arise during the animation process, such as issues with timing or weight. Time management: An animator must be able to work efficiently and manage their time effectively to meet project deadlines. Continuously learn and grow: 3D animators must stay up-to-date with the latest animation techniques and technologies to continuously improve their skills and create more advanced animations.
