Job Summary
Role Purpose: The purpose of this role is to design, test, and maintain software programs for operating systems or applications that need to be deployed at the client s end, ensuring they meet 100% quality assurance standards. Key Responsibilities: 1. Understanding and Designing Software: Study information needs, system flows, data usage, and work processes to develop software solutions. Investigate problem areas and work through the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Conduct root cause analysis of system issues and problem statements. Suggest improvements to system performance and availability. Convert client requirements into feasible designs. 2. Software Development and Coding: Evaluate operational feasibility, including analysis, problem definition, and requirements gathering. Develop automated processes for software validation, including designing test cases and executing them. Modify software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, or improve performance. Analyze information to recommend new system installations or modifications. Ensure all code is error-free and follows defined project/program standards. Document software development activities, including status updates and project specifications. Maintain timely, comprehensive, and accurate documentation as needed. Coordinate with the team on the daily status and progress of the project. 3. Status Reporting and Customer Focus: Gather requirements and clarifications from clients for improved quality. Collect regular feedback to ensure timely and smooth delivery. Stay updated with best practices and new programming languages through continuing education and training. Collaborate with engineering staff to evaluate software-hardware interfaces and develop specifications. Provide clear documentation, including flowcharts, code comments, and charts for better understanding by clients. Ensure professional and timely communication with clients, including emails, calls, and fault report tracking. Performance Metrics: 1. Continuous Integration, Deployment & Monitoring of Software: Ensure 100% error-free onboarding and implementation. Achieve throughput percentage and adhere to the schedule/release plan. 2. Quality & Customer Satisfaction (CSAT): Deliver on-time software and manage troubleshooting queries. Ensure positive customer experience and complete necessary certifications for skill upgradation. 3. Management Information System (MIS) & Reporting: Ensure 100% on-time generation of MIS and reports.
