Python Developer Job in Wits Innovation Lab

2.6+ years of experience in backend development with Python, Django, and Flask Expertise in developing Rest APIs, Web Sockets, Server Sent Events, Protobuf, and gRPC (Any 3) Must have knowledge about Docker and containerisation in general Must have working knowledge of at least 1 message broker (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, Amazon SQS etc) Must have knowledge of integrating auditing and monitoring dashboards within services for health checks and logging (Prometheus, Grafana etc) Design and develop high-performance applications using Python and related frameworks Develop database schemas that represent and support business processes Should have decent working knowledge of AWS and it s services Must have working knowledge about at least 1 SQL database (MySQL, Postgres, MSSQL etc), 1 NoSQL database (MongoDB, Document DB etc) and 1 in-memory database (Redis) Implement automated integration tests and unit tests Proficient in object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts Experience with source control systems such as Git or SVN Ability to debug code and troubleshoot production issues Understanding of accessibility and security compliance Implement best practices for security and scalability of the backend services Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
