Overview of Leaders in Climate Change Management Program:

Recognizing the need for more proactive climate action, WRI India, in partnership with the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA), UNEP, the Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation and the Indian School of Business (ISB), proposes to implement a capacity development program aimed at building a pool of 4000 5000 Leaders in Climate Change Management. The program will target mid-career professionals in government, corporates, and other sectors, to lead climate action on the ground.

The program will use a unique, learning by doing pedagogy that is well suited to mid-career practitioners, who cannot get away from their place of work for long and need flexibility in the timings of the learning events. It will use a blended learning approach combining online learning with face-to-face events. It will also combine flexible schedules with fixed schedules.

About your role:

The LCCM program requires development of learning material (both online and in-person) as well as coordination of learning journey of hundreds of participants across the various phases of this 9-months program. Each year, the LCCM program plans to hold multiple cohorts at a variety of training institutes across India.

How your day will unfold:

Digital Learning & LMS

Review of the online modules and support with scripting to have this content digitized
Coordinate with a production agency (already identified) on content digitization
Serve as a liaison between the online module leads (content experts) and the production agency to ensure
  • instructional rigors
  • that the videos match the storyboards
  • the content flow is smooth and easy to follow.
  • Support the technical review to ensure that the final product meets the internal guidelines of the LCCM partner agencies. Facilitate the user testing and uploading of the modules with the Learning Management System Team
    Coordinate and help resolve any issues with the Learning Management System or Learning Information Management System with the concerned external vendors/partners

    Classroom Program and Capstone Projects

    Support the detailing of the in-person engagement of the program, including but not limited to development of suitable case studies, group exercises etc. (working with content experts)
    Support the delivery of the program across delivery institutes and manage relationships with faculty that will deliver classroom sessions on a regular basis
    Support the management of a network of senior mentors who will oversee participants Capstone projects
    Coordinate final Capstone project presentations and certification at the end of each cohort

    Learning outcomes and Alumni

    Help coordinate resolution of any challenges (technical or non-technical) faced by the participants and escalate where needed
    Responsible for monitoring the overall learning journey by all participants during the program and after completion as Alumni
    Manage the online learning community and help organise annual/bi-annual graduation event

    The role will be housed in the Project Team for the LCCM and will work closely with the Program Lead.

    Qualifications and requirements we seek:

    Knowledge of instructional theory, including assessment. Experience with writing, auditing, and reviewing storyboards for educational programs.

    Prior experience of supporting or reviewing development of Instructional videos
    Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical colleagues and clients
    Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and coordinate multiple projects
    Post-Graduate in any discipline with 7-10 years of experience. A qualification focused on learning , content development and familiarity with Learning Management Systems would be an added advantage.

    Salary and Benefits:15,00,000 to 18,00,000 CTC PA

    Salary shall be commensurate with experience and skills. WRI offers a generous and comprehensive benefits package.
