Oracle Database Support Job in Zensar Technologies Ltd.

You are expected to determine the best possible method of organizing data, recording, then implementing it. The type of database and data you'll deal with will depend on client.

Your work will then help a number of people within an organization, as well as assisting in the smooth operation of the business as a whole.

You may also be writing reports and SOP, RCA and training content. You could also be involved in direct training, either of your own team or of employees that will use the system.

As a database Level 3 resource, your daily tasks can also include:

Roles and Responsibilities : ----

Overlooking database operation, batch jobs etc

Monitoring database efficiency

Designing and preparing reports for management

Developing protocols for data processing

Creating complex query definitions that allow data to be extracted

Assessing data storage and access needs.

Creating and maintaining databases.

Upgrading database systems and software as needed.

Developing emergency data storage and retrieval plans.

Managing data backup operations.

Overseeing daily ticket queues and its priority of resolution

Major incident management and communication and RCA preparation

Attend Client meetings and manage communication

Attend CAB and complete the change request and manage communication

Knowledge Transfer within the team

Setting up and testing new database and data handling systems

Training colleagues in how to input and extract data

Storage, backups and disaster recovery are usually the responsibility

Keep SW uptodate with Software updates

Report preparation as in when needed

Act as a backup for the Team lead

Enhance the flow of information throughout an information system.

ITIL compliance and understanding and hands on on ITIL processes

Monitor Tickets and maintain zero tickets in Open Queue

BAU Support,DB Patching ,DB Upgrade,Manage Security according to Client and Zensar Policy

Maintenance Weekend Infra Task

Create and document criteria for emergency or critical patches. testing, roll back plan and documentation and end-user communications

Perform capacity utilization analysis for VMs, Clusters, using Silica's defined process and provide recommendations to appropriate team (Compute, DB, application)

RCA and IR of P1 and P2, Failed changes
