About the Team

The Global Sustainability and HSE team at ZF Wind Power is committed to steering the organization towards a sustainable and responsible future. Led by the Global Head of Sustainability & HSE, the team collaborates with diverse internal and external stakeholders including HR, Legal, R&D, Finance, Purchasing/Supplier Quality, Logistics, and global production sites to develop and implement impactful Sustainability and HSE strategies aligned with ZF s corporate goals.

Role Overview

As the Global Head of Sustainability & HSE, you will be responsible for defining, driving, and embedding sustainability and health, safety, and environment (HSE) initiatives across ZF s global operations. You will lead multi-site HSE functions, oversee regulatory compliance, and champion a culture of sustainability and safety throughout the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive Sustainability and HSE strategy, including clear target setting aligned with corporate objectives.
• Oversee efficient data collection, monitoring, analysis, and reporting (internal and external, including CSRD compliance) of Sustainability and HSE performance metrics.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Legal, R&D, Finance, Purchasing, Supplier Quality, Logistics, and production teams to embed Sustainability and HSE best practices.
• Lead the global HSE function across multiple production sites, managing audits and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, evolving regulations, and best practices to ensure ZF s Sustainability and HSE efforts remain cutting-edge.
• Promote a sustainability and safety-first culture via training programs, communication, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Develop and deliver Sustainability and HSE training to enhance employee knowledge and commitment.
• Partner with divisional and corporate Sustainability/HSE teams to drive alignment and collaborative initiatives worldwide.

Candidate Profile

• Master s degree in Science or equivalent professional qualifications.
• Minimum 15 years of senior leadership experience in sustainability and HSE within global, multi-site organizations.
• Deep expertise in sustainability frameworks, HSE regulations, and external reporting standards such as CSRD.
• Comprehensive knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 standards.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills with proven ability to inspire and influence across diverse teams.
