Job Summary

Job Description The course developer will apply the instructional design development principle/process to develop training solutions using prescribed tools for internal and external customers. The individual demonstrates mastery knowledge of adult learning and technology-based training theories, as well as a thorough understanding of the challenges which are unique to training for a customer services organization in a high tech environment. Additionally, the instructional designer requires demonstrated in-depth conceptual and procedural technical writing skills. Key Responsibilities: Conduct research on assigned projects to develop project framework and basic understanding about the subject matter. Work with subject matter experts to gather technical information and develop learning objectives and maintain a collaborative relationship. Identify required conceptual procedural content, content sequencing, flow of information, and relevancy of media. Review and revise content based on feedback from internal, client reviewers, or stakeholders and resolve conflicting feedback. Develop and integrate content, materials, media, and testing to meet detailed design specifications, standards, templates, and support the overall learning goals and objectives in either e-learning, ILT or vILT deliveries.. Review deliverables for completeness, compliance with standards, and consistency with the detailed design prior to delivery. Review course materials to confirm learning objectives have been met based on results of the audience and needs analysis results. e course assessment results and identify continuous improvement areas and enhancements based on lessons learned; modify process steps as appropriate for client situations. Apply various instructional strategies, models, and theories to develop learning content to enhance learning transfer and greater on-the-job performance Qualifications Min. of 3 to 7 years of relevant Instructional Design experience preferably with enterprise eLearning experience Comprehensive knowledge and proven application of instructional theories and principles in both on-line and classroom learning. Practical training/learning industry experience Proven experience developing e-learning for software applications Background in developing online course, ILT/ vILT, reference guides, and job aids Work samples required Skills Required: Demonstrate knowledge of courseware development tools, such as Captivate, Camtasia, and Articulate Storyline, RISE. Proven technical writing skills Knowledge of instructional design techniques and practice with several instructional approaches (web-based, instructor-led, or virtual instructor-led training) Show proficiency with MS Office, specifically MS Word and PowerPoint Ability to facilitate client SMEs and sponsor discussions to set expectations and ensure appropriate involvement. Ability to develop training using elearning development tools (e.g. Storyline, Captivate), graphics/audio/video editing software, etc. Education Preferred: Bachelor or Master degree with with prior instructional design/learning and development and/or organizational development experience Certification on Instructional Design and relevant authoring tools.
