Head - Sas & Communication Job in Adani Group

Design, prepare, and review RFP specifications, addendums, and bid
submissions for substation automation and communication projects in
the Energy Business Unit (Thermal and Transmission) with cost
optimization aligned with OT Security perspective.
Lead engineering review and approvals of substation automation and
communication system solutions for Thermal and Transmission projects.
Mentor and support the team in carrying out Factory Acceptance
Testing and Commissioning of SAS & Communication System for
Thermal & Transmission.
Evaluate the designing of Statuary Data Communication scheme &
Documents and coordinate with Regional and State LDCs for Approval
of Real Time and PMU data communication scheme Approval,
Integration testing and Validation.
Mentor the SAS & Communication team and lead OEM competency
development for substation automation systems to ensure that the team
is equipped with the required skills and knowledge.
Design & review bid submissions, OEM engineering documents and
develop application and solution architecture, RFP, BOQ, and technical
specifications for substation automation systems in accordance with
Indian and international standards and guidelines as well as proposing
the best practices based on past experiences
Manage engineering, application and solution architecture design of OT
(SCADA/Sub-Station Automation) System to ensure timely delivery of
projects and adherence to quality standards.
Support team for Designing & implementation of GOOSE & industrial
communication protocol-based special/system protection schemes to
ensure the safety of the power system.
Support projects for Reliable & Cost-optimized Sub-station Automation
& Communication System Engineering, FAT and Commissioning.
Able to Test, validate, and implement technological initiatives. Provide
support to Group initiatives for Implementation & Audit of OT Cyber
Security procedures and Policies. Enhance and Improvise the OT
Security Postures at All Plants and Site by implementation of various
standard & Secure practices.
Enhance the technical skill of team members with their specific TNI &
knowledge sharing and mentor and support the team for setting up the
OEM (Hitachi-ABB, GE, Siemens, NARI) SCADA system at P&M Lab for
testing & validations.
Support for Upgradation & Modification of Sub-Station Automation,
Communication and its Associated Systems at Thermal and
Transmission Sub-Stations with Cost Optimization and Value
Engineering aligned with OT Security Perspective.
Extend remote support to O&M Team for Sub-station Automation
Related Issues and Its Resolution in a timely manner.
Provide support for ENDORSE-P&M Budget Preparation for SAS &
Communication systems.

B.E. (Electrical/ Electronics & Communication) with 17 - 20 years of Experience in Engineering,
FAT & Commissioning of various OEM Substation Automation System , FOTE and PLCC system
Expertise in application, and technology for Substation Automation System IEC61850 (SCD,ICD
& CID, GOOSE), FOTE and PLCC
Understanding of CRP scheme, IED configuration and RTU
Possess application engineering and hands-on working experience on IEC61850 Based
substation automation systems , BCU, RTU, IEDs and engineering tools for deployments into
real-time operation in green as well as brown field projects and extending technical support
for issues/problems as the central SME across Adani locations as following
Siemens (SICAM PAS/WinCC/SCC, A8000 RTU)
Hitachi-ABB (MicroSCADA,REC670, RTU560)
