Job Summary

In the context of HR Operations facilitate the execution of HR operational controls in alignment with Financial Assurance requirements. Primarily responsible for working cross functionally across the Alcon HR Operations organization to assist business partners with internal control management, audit management, and process improvement initiatives. The Manager will drive the execution of controls to meet, or exceed Sarbanes- Oxley Act objectives and will become a key contact with the internal and external auditors. Establish Global governance, self audit cadence and metrics required to meet quarterly audit requirements. Analyzes the effectiveness of procedures and controls to identify areas needing improvement, recommend changes and communicate to all parties. Plans and conducts compliance monitoring reviews to ensure procedures match actual processes performed in all segments within HR Services. Verifies compliance plans against established Sarbanes-Oxley Controls and Internal Controls. Sets high standards and committed to continuous improvement Create continuous improvement culture among team members and encourage others along with self to keep updated with industry best practices and updates Assists in design and development of materials and data base that support procedure documentation in an organized manner. Collaborates with HR Operations functional leaders to ensure SOX Controls and Internal Controls are documented, reviewed and applicable, as regulations require. Develops subject expertise in all lines of business and functions within HR Services; HCM Master Data Payroll, Systems and Interfaces, Payroll Reporting, Accounting and Tax. Works with leaders in Global HR Help Centers to establish, validate, measure & track alignment to operational controls with focus on optimization of creating evidence of control. Maintains a working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Utilizes working knowledge of key accounting processes, financial reporting, and tax laws to evaluate risk and identify or implement controls as necessary. Represents HR Operations in audits and works with auditors to provide applicable SOX evidence in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain confidentiality of employee data and hold team accountable for the same Ability to lead and motivate HR Operations resources Globally to deliver control evidence as per agreed to schedules and retain a team who speaks different languages supporting various countries across a region Lead Center level and global cross functional compliance projects Proven knowledge of project management principles and continuous improvement methodologies and ability to use them in practice on a daily basis. Partner closely with COEs, HRBPs and other global teams for the delivery of all policies, programs and tasks across the region. The role also partners closely with the above stakeholders across geographies, to drive standardization, improvements and effectiveness of services provided, utilizing relevant measurement and feedback tools to ensure the quality and value of service delivered meets standards and Operating / Service Level Agreements. Accountable to develop, deploy, measure, track, ensure compliance and report standard Service Levels (SLAs) and quality audits, RCA, key process and operational metrics (KPIs) including high customer service expectations for associates. Accountable to work with HR Operations and other COE leaders to define continuous improvement and enhancement scope year over year Design and facilitate process improvement workshops, toolkits, standardized templates, etc to drive ideas and solutions through the Global HR Help Centers. Establish governance, meeting cadence and metrics required to keep improvement projects on track. Regularly influences without authority and collaborates across all levels 5+ years Accounting or Compliance experience 2+ years of leading projects requiring management of other leader's resources 2+ years actively using Six Sigma or other CI methodologies to lead measurable process improvements projects Working knowledge of auditing processes and tactics and the ability to determine control gaps Management of large data sets of information Proven attention to detail, research skills, with ability to develop data analytics and data quality reporting Familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX) compliance requirements Experienced in auditing, controls and/or regulatory compliance Strong written, verbal communication skills Strong problem solving ability; thorough, detailed oriented thinker Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook), Visio and SharePoint, preferred Working knowledge in systems; Workday, Kronos, Payroll, etc Independent worker - minimum supervision required Ability to interface with many areas and levels of expertise Collaborates with others in solving the problems.
