Purpose of the Job

Contribute to realisation of Metier commitments through allocation of adequate team profile and methods within his / her domain/discipline.

Accountable to deliver System/Sub-system approved by the Customer and consistent with the System Delivery Plan across multiple projects taking in to account the project/program lifecycle.

Ensure continuous improvement through Discipline Management network.

Responsibilities

  • Manageproject with the help of Integration lead of the projects by provising required resource by meeting project QCD
  • Support integration lead to define, produce and integrate all the application data and parameters needed to customize the customer solution, at ATS Subsystem level according to the specifications and the design.
  • Ensure the application and adherence to the reference processes methods and tools, requesting waivers whenever appropriate
  • Support integration team to configure integration environment & tools (test bench, recording tools, simulated I/O)
  • Work with inetgration lead to define the integration test strategy, in accordance with:
    • Sub-system requirement
    • System architecture
    • Signaling Principle
  • Establishes integration procedures (test sheets) / criteria and elaborates the project ITP/ITD/ITR
  • Manages his/her work products under configuration management
  • Cross-verifies integration procedures and criteria produced by his peers on other projects
  • Applies and ensures application of processes and standards
  • Contributes to continuous improvement (ROE, process, tools, )
  • Implement & contribute to definition of his / her TIS discipline processes (common methods and best practices) and provides REX (Return on Experience) on methods & tools.
  • Continuously motivate, encourage, evaluate, train and develop resources, in cooperation with department head / HR, as per approved performance targets
  • Manages human resources allocated to the domain following the standard ALSTOM people management processes.
  • Define and implement orientations for his / her department, in liaise with his / her manager (team profile, discipline evolutions in terms of technology / M&T (Methods and Tools), department competitiveness, )
  • Communicate to his / her team company news and report to his / her manager information about his / her department activities.
  • Promote Alstom values to his / her team

Knowledge & Experience

  • Bachelors or Masters in Electrical / Electronics / Communications / Instrumentation Engineering
  • 9+ years of demonstrated experience in Software / Functional / System configuration, integration and testing
  • Knowledgeable on Software / Functional / System configuration & integration testing
  • Experience in Automatic Train Supervision/Central Control Center/Train management System / Signaling principles
  • Strong analytical skills - Ability to understand the real time behavior, complex systems with client/server applications (Windows, OPC,..) and distributed database (XML, SQL, ) and implements configuration
  • Specifies integration test objectives, designs test cases, develops test procedures (test files and scenario), and ensures traceability vs requirements according to Requirements Management Plan
  • Ability build scenarios to analyze and or re-produce field defects in the platform environment ; analyze/identify the root cause to the module level precision
  • Ability to prepare/setup automatic testing
  • Define & Manage integration platforms
  • Should have sound knowledge of Windows (2K, XP,Win7), MS office tools
  • Knowledge of OOPs concepts, Scripting (Installshield/VB/VBA) OPC, XML, SQL and Networking fundamentals is desirable.
  • Ability to apply internal process required for ATS integration
