Overall Purpose of the Role: As a Tender Engineer you will assist the tender team in all the activities being executed related to the tenders. you will be responsible for the successful completion of the activities related to ATS (Automatic Train Supervision) QCD estimation for tender and will also support on technical deliverables for tender and will directly report to System Metier Manager but will closely work with Tender team.

What are my responsibilities as a Tender Engineer?

  • You will be required to independently apply extensive expertise as a specialist to meet company standards and customer requirements.
  • You will lead/participate in technical discussions directly with the customer and represents/projects Company interests.
  • You will mentor the less experienced professional in the department.
  • You will develop solutions to complex problems requiring innovation and creativity.
  • You will review customer tender specification documents and prepares technical proposals and cost estimates as requested.
  • Follow and improve the reference library for tender estimates.
  • You will act as an Interface with the Clients & performs other related activities as requested

What do I need to qualify for this job?

Skills & Qualifications

  • You should come with either B.Tech/B.E/M. Tech or any Equivalent Technical degree.
  • Minimum 6 to 10 years of experience in signalling tender activities
  • Signalling domain knowledge, XML, System specification.
  • Scheme plan/Circuit design experience. Knowledge of Signalling equipment, operational analysis.
  • You should have contributed to internal process improvement activities in the past with some knowledge on Quality practices.
  • Able to review the designs of others, including all circuit detailing, test procedures, and all other project-related documentation.
  • Possesses working knowledge in 5 or more of the following areas: SCADA/control room application, Vital/Non-Vital Logic Design, Circuit check, Cable plan design, Power calculations, Interface designs, communication designs, Generating test plans and/or procedures, Detail design, Railway signalling, Process control systems.
  • You should be capable of effectively communicate with subordinates and with International Clients.
  • Exhibits Project Management Skills
  • Preparation of estimates for the work packages
  • Language Skills: Proficient in the English language

Good to Have Skills

  • Experience in PLC, DCS, SCADA, Aeronautics, Safety Integrity Level (SIL4), Railways, System Interface will be a plus.
