Job Summary

DESCRIPTION

How we do improve Amazon's pricing strategy and onsite price experience to improve price perception among customers? This is the key question we are trying to answer at scale for the millions of customers we have worldwide. The Price Perception team is looking for a Senior Program Manager to lead research projects to answer this question. This research will inform company-wide strategy and our own team's feature development plans. Our team is equal parts customer research, data science and price-related feature development.

In this role you will manage several high-visibility, worldwide research projects to uncover customer insights. You will create customer surveys, analyze results, design tools to support self-service analysis and communicate results, all in collaboration with stakeholders across the company and our team of data analysts. You will find creative ways act on these insights, translate ideas into designs, and harness the passion and energy of our development team (and partners across the company) to bring these designs into the world for our customers.

A successful candidate will have a demonstrated history of written and verbal communications and strong customer empathy. They will be comfortable collaborating within a global team with high executive visibility. The ideal candidate will have a the ability to communicate with executive stakeholders, a sense of humor and demonstrated ability to have fun.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of product/program management experience in a mid-size or large company with a proven track record of successful delivery
Bachelor's or a Masters Degree in business, economics, or engineering
Familiar with advance analytical tools and techniques, with hands-on experience.
Experience presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner and in engaging and influencing senior executives.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work cross-timeline with globally distributed organizations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


5+ years of product/program management experience in a mid-size or large company with a proven track record of successful delivery
Experience working in customer research and customer analytics
Ability to work independently with limited general supervision
Ability to collaborate with a diverse set of business customers and drive conflict resolution
Understanding of software development lifecycle and how it pertains to project management lifecycle
Experience using Six Sigma, Lean or other process improvement methodology to streamline business processes
A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations
