Sr. Quality Assurance Manager Job in Amazon

Amazon Appstore is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager who can ensure high quality bar for our catalogue of 3P apps on FireTV devices globally. Our team is comprised of talented testers, program managers, and QA Engineers tasked with singular goal to provide best possible customer experience on Amazon products. We cater to 3P app developers from all geographies and help them ensure a seamless App experience for customers on our devices.We are looking for a talented, detail oriented, and enthusiastic QAM who is passionate about quality and is excited about the new cutting edge technology offered to consumers.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned quality leader with proven skills in building a top-notch test team, a hands-on manager with experience in defining processes and solutions for ensuring high quality bar in a fast-paced environment, experience in various automation tools and frameworks, well versed with software development and release cycle and is able to communicate effectively with teams across the continents. You will be obsessed with quality improvement, experienced and highly committed to creating reliable automation for regression and feature testing, able to develop and drive a high-level strategy, as well as take a hands-on approach to implementing that strategy.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
About 6+ years of overall experience and at least 2+ years in a QA Manager role.
Strong background in Hardware or software QA processes for Android Applications and/or Android based devices.
Strong people management skills with a proven track record in hiring, developing and retaining high performing QA team consisting of SDETs and QAEs.
Strong QA and Automation background with experience in identifying and reviewing test plans, test cases and testing results.
Proven track record in identifying and implementing automated testing tools and frameworks.
Strong project management skills, preferably with experience in an agile development environment.
Excellent quality and release management skills
Work with geographically distributed business and development teams.
Solid track record for delivery of high-quality products.
Experience in preparing quality metrics and effectively engaging with stake holders to set and drive quality goals.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements.
Strong organizational skills, able to track multiple test executions simultaneously and are able to synthesize the results.
Shows creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness.
Comfortable communicating cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings.
Understanding of Java technologies, XML, JS, CSS, and HTML.
Experience in Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
Ability to write/review the code in at least one high level language like Java, C, C# etc.
