Job Summary

What you ll do at Ather:

  • Demonstrate compliance with corporate values and departmental procedures as per requirements of the corporate QS standards

  • Demonstrate collaborative culture while staying committed to technical deliverables

  • Ensure that the cost, quality, and schedule goals are met for programs/projects

  • Prepare and present compliance statements against checklists/templates during reviews on design/simulation, schematics, PCB layout, WCA, tolerance analyses, IP, safety & regulatory aspects of design

  • Maximise reuse of platforms and design resources to help reduce TTM, cost, and enhance quality

  • Implement lessons learnt into designs

  • Participate and contribute to DFMEA, DFM, DFA, DFC, DFS, DFR, and component selection/derating reviews

  • Work with NPD teams to verify implementation of manufacturing test plans, Jigs and Fixture along with carrying out RCA and Implementing CAPA during PPAP builds.

  • Support Sustenance through resolution of JiRA Issues during manufacturing/Prototype phase

  • Carry out RCA on field failures and implement/recommend CAPA

  • Execute e-DVT, debug issues, and help build a database of lessons learnt from the design

  • Carry out detailed analyses and tests for WCA and tolerance. Demonstrate compliance with sub-system specifications through test results

  • Execute Board Bring up and Functional Testing of Designs/Prototypes.

  • Participate in benchmarking and evaluating competing offers in the market

Here s what we are looking for:

  • Experience in power electronics design & analysis

  • Understanding of engineering DVT of power converters/inverters/drives

  • Good knowledge of design and analysis of high-frequency magnetics

  • Experience in thermal testing, pre-compliance, and certification

  • Knowledge of testing as per safety and regulatory standards

  • Knowledge of semiconductor device characteristics MOSFETs, IGBTs, thyristors, rectifiers

  • Should know power management ICs (gate drivers, PWM controllers, LDOs, switching regulators, LED drivers)

  • Experience in rework and soldering of SMD and thru-hole devices on PCBAs

You bring to Ather:

  • B.Tech/M.Tech in Power Electronics

  • 3+ years of experience in hands-on design and development of AC-DC/DC-DC converters/motor drives/inverters

Experience Required :

4 to 6 Years
