Job Summary

Job Role

  • Take ownership of environment maintenance and system problems as detected by monitoring and/or as escalated by Customer Service..
  • Work closely with the different deployment models and Application owners to measure and improve the reliability and performance of Application and Application Environments.
  • Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis of Application and Environment problems.
  • Work with System and Application Owners, Quality Assurance, Release Management, and others to resolve problems.
  • Active participation in the incident and problem management.
  • Work to improve operations of Application, Linux, Oracle, Cloud, and Docker environments.
  • Participate in on-call support, after-hours, and weekend support.
  • Active participation in knowledge sharing and documentation

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Be a technologist who values automating everything.
  • Design, build and deliver internal cloud applications that enable efficient use of the cloud.
  • Develop automated solutions to measure and present KPIs.
  • Develop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for private, public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services
  • Contribute to DevOps development activities and complex development tasks
  • Work with Agile teams and product owners to design well-architected solutions
  • Ensure delivered solutions meet/perform to technical and functional/non-functional requirements
  • Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation to service owners
  • Provide support and technical governance, expertise related to cloud architectures, deployment, and operations
  • Assist with capacity planning, budgeting, and design of IT environments
  • Be a champion in driving for efficiency and optimization of cloud use

  • Act as the coach and mentor to team members and technical staff on their assigned project tasks
  • Lead the definition and development of cloud reference architecture and management systems

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
  • Good experience with AWS implementations
  • Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environment
  • Knowledge of all components of a technical architecture
  • Strong understanding of network architecture and application development methodologies
  • Strong understanding of SOA, object-oriented analysis and design, and/or client/server systems
  • Strong understanding and experience in Infrastructure as Code utilizing Terraform/CFT
  • Familiar with ticket management systems (ZOHO preferred).
  • Advanced Implementation/troubleshooting experience in AWS services.
  • Experience in using common CI-CD tools like Jenkins, Terraform, git, and Ansible to configure, manage, and deploy code.
  • Familiar with monitoring systems (CloudHealth/AppDynamics/Solarwinds/Datadog preferred)
  • Exposure in Windows OS including Active Directory and their operational configuration in AWS
  • Advanced Knowledge in Linux OS and their operational configuration in AWS
  • knowledge of Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, NAT)
  • knowledge in Webservers IIS, Apache & Tomcat
  • Well-developed English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Candidate must be self-sufficient, driven, energetic with a passion for technology, provide excellent customer support service, and have patience to work with technology teams with different levels of technical knowledge.
  • Able to operate under pressure and in time-sensitive support environments.
  • AWS Solutions Architect Professional/Associate certification.
  • Red hat Linux, Ubuntu, Windows 2016 enterprise server, LDAP.
  • Python, shell scripting language.
  • Agile experience

Education and Qualifications:

  • Master/Bachelor s degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience.
  • Overall 6+ yrs of IT experience with over 4+ yrs of experience in AWS Cloud.
