Job Summary

The performance coach, AKA career coach, regularly helps Axelerant s team members to understand and achieve their role s expectations through honest conversations and feedback outside of the reporting manager relationship. They also help team members reach their career potential by coaching and introducing other educational opportunities via a personalized tour of duty.


Additionally, a performance coach supports Axelerant s team members to fit better into the organization by helping people empower themselves, facilitate personal and professional learning and development, remove internal barriers, and act as a bridge between leaders and the team member s career and concern aspects.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for helping team members understand their role s expectations
  • Responsible for helping team members define their tour of duty
  • Supports team members in achieving their tour of duty
  • Responsible for regularly supporting team members to meet their role s expectations
  • Responsible for maintaining a reusable and actionable performance coaching framework

Supplemental Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for coaching or facilitating skills training when relevant
  • Responsible for escalating people s challenges to relevant leaders with appropriate calls to action
  • Responsible for own self-development to better serve team members
  • Support team s leadership to ensure new joiners are onboarded and engaged
  • Supports being reachable for team members in an extraordinary situation
  • Support invoking a Performance Improvement Plan when relevant
