Job Summary

Product Owner Responsibilitiesinclude:

  • Managing and making visible the product backlog, or the prioritized list of requirements for future product development.
  • Changing the order of items in the product backlog.
  • Being available to the development team at all times to answer any questions team members have regarding the customer s needs and the customer s views of how the team is implementing a product feature.

TheProduct Owner Roleis an essential member of any agile scrum team.

  • Ensuresuser storiesare ready for development to start work.
  • Ensures each story has the correctacceptance criteria.
  • Gathers, manages, and prioritizes theproduct backlog.
  • Ensures close collaboration with the development team.
  • Works closely with engineering and quality assurance to ensure the right customer problem is solved. This can involve sharingmarket research and competitive analysiswith the team to best focus their efforts.
  • Has technical product knowledge or specific domain expertise.
  • Contributes to the work of the Product Manager as they define aproduct differentiation strategy.
  • Tracks progress towards the release of a product.

The Product Owner MAY be asked to work on some or all of the following tasks:

  • Create theproduct visionandroadmapwhich accomplishes the goal of the vision.
  • Developspositioningfor the product.
  • Work with a cross-functional team in planning a product release.
  • Develops personas either alone or in conjunction with a team including user experience experts.
  • Define customer needs and the associated features to meet those needs.
  • Advocates on behalf of the customer for the development team.
  • Prioritizes defect or bug resolution.

Scaled Agile, Inc.

  • BE/B.Tech Electronics/Electrical/computer science
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional work experience
  • Agile Practitioner:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working in project that was diligently applying Agile/Scrum practices as a Product Owner
  • Knowledge and/or experience with well documented Agile, Scrum tactics/techniques: Planning poker, Burndown/burn up, CFD, retrospective formats etc
Experience Required :

Minimum 10 Years
