Responsibilities
- Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
Skills
- Proficient in Java, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and Java EE concepts (JPA, JTS, EJB, JAX-RS, CDI, bean validations) is a must
- Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
- Skill for writing reusable Java libraries
- Knowledge of concurrency patterns and multithreading in Java
- Knack for writing clean, readable Java code
- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests (Junit5, Mockito, Powermock)
- Experience in working with RDBMS database (Postgres)
- Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
- Proficiency with fundamental front end languages such as HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript (Angular JS).
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Git)
- Familiarity with build tools (Maven, Gradle)
- Familiarity with continuous integration
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Exposure to eCommerce / Card-not-present (CNP) security, cryptography, cryptographic protocols & symmetric/asymmetric keys, etc. is a plus
