Job Summary

ClayWorks is seeking a results-driven site engineer to join our growing organization. In this position, you will serve as the point of contact for contractors and be expected to liaise between crew members and management. Strong organizational,managementand commercial skills are essential. You must possess good communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with contractors, clients, management and work proficiently both individually and in teams.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee daily work at site, track and monitor project progress
  • Liaise with Client, consultants, subcontractors, supervisors and the general workforce involved in the project
  • Resolve on-site conflicts
  • Conduct periodic Meetings with Architects/ Design Consultants and Vendors to review outstanding issues and progress per agreed Schedule. Follow up all pending issues proactively to conclude at the earliest
  • Check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations
  • Ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the Technical Specifications and Bill of Quantities
  • Oversee the selection and requisition of materials
  • Manage, monitor and interpret the contract design documents
  • Ensuring contractors compliance with quality assurance and health and safety
  • Plan the work and efficiently organize the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines
  • Prepare weekly and monthly project reports as required
  • Prepare & furnish Monthly Projected Cash Flow Statement to Organization
  • Regular joint verification of measurements with Vendors
  • Verify the progressive bills submitted by vendors and certify payment processing
  • For any Variation w.r.t BOQ / technical specification estimate additional Cost and time implication with inputs from Vendors and Design Consultants
  • Prepare and review Project Schedule with Organisation, Contractors and Sub-contractors
  • Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise
  • Regularly debrief and update Team to ensure there is no communication gap. Review and develop Action Plan to resolve pending issues at the earliest.
  • Highlight concerns to the Organisation regularly w.r.t cost, time and performance of vendor
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule (nights and weekends, as needed)

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor s Degree in Civil/Mechanical/ Electrical with 3 to 4 years of experience in a construction sites is required. Technical competency inProject management methodologies, Procurement, Monitoring, Construction Management, Design Management, Claims, Construction Cost, Quality & Safety Compliance, Construction Techniques is required. Local language skills and fluency in English is essential.
