Job Summary

Responsibilities

Project Engineers at CRA are responsible for the entire scope of a project, from conception to completion. We are looking for dedicated Project Engineers to lead aspects such as planning, budgeting, scheduling, engineering, and personnel to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards.


This role is split between multiple responsibilities based on the phase of a project:

Overview

  • Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, providing purpose, direction, and motivation.
  • Strategize and optimize company-wide project performance and goals by coordinating with the projects team.


Business Development

  • Acquire clients and new business by working closely with the marketing team and leadership towards aligning projects with business goals.
  • Communicate with clients and generate proposals by budgeting and working with the engineering team to define preliminary technical scope.
  • Convert inquiries by delighting the customer and developing a long-term relationship.


Project Management

  • Define the project scope, goals, and deliverables by working closely with the client and your team.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans.


Engineering

  • Develop scope and parameters for project design and implementation.
  • Work with engineering team towards the development of extensive engineering models and drawings
  • Develop BOM and work with the Procurement team towards identifying vendors.
  • Manage compliance, quality control, and quality assurance standards and specifications.
  • Maintain and develop extensive project documentation.


Production Management

  • Coordinate with the production manager to ensure timely manufacturing.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure raw materials and bought-out items are timely made available to the production team.
  • Manage compliance, quality control, and quality assurance standards and specifications of the produced items with the Engineering Design.

At their core, project engineers are expert coordinators, bringing together stakeholders of every level for effective and profitable project deliveries. A technical background, confident and pleasant personality, teamwork and leadership skills, and attention to detail are important traits for success in this role.


Requirements

  • At least a bachelor s degree in engineering, or a related field of study
  • At least 3 years of experience in an engineering and manufacturing environment
  • Project management and leadership skills
  • Time management and Organizational Skills
  • Knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • Advanced MS Office Skills with the ability to effectively communicate and manage files on Microsoft 365 and Teams.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience in generating professionally written and organized documentation.
