Senior Software Development Engineer Job in Comcast

Overview

Comcast s X1:Engineering group is looking for an expert senior Software Development Engineer to join the team in Comcast India Engineering Center, with a specific focus on API automation and Performance testing. We are primarily responsible for working alongside with the QA, Product, and Development teams in the Philadelphia/London offices to produce high quality entertainment applications that allow our millions of customers to access and watch recorded, On Demand, and live video content on X1 Set top box, iOS, Android, Web, Roku and Smart TV.

Core Responsibilities

• Write automated tests using Behave automation tool
• Write executable Java/Python methods at unit and integration layers
• Work with the Development and Product management teams to understand new requirements and write sanity/smoke tests
• Collaborate with the QA team to translate regression test cases into automation tests
• Write mock scripts to test error handling and resiliency of the APIs
• Automate and execute Performance scripts to measure speed and reliability of the APIs
• Develop and setup Sanity, Daily run and Regression tests using Concourse CICD tool

Attributes for Success

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• 4+ years of professional experience in Software QA and API Automation
• 2-3 years of experience using industry standard API automation tools such as Behave, REST-Assured, Soap, Postman etc.,
• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java or Python
• Proven experiencetesting and automating REST API services
• Strong experience with GIT Version Control System
• Performance testing experience using LoadRunner, Jmeter etc., is a plus
• Ability to effectively collaborate with other software engineers within the team
• Adaptable, committed to deadlines and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills
