Job Title: Lead Engineer VP

Location: Pune, India

The Lead Engineer leads the definition of the Target State Architecture for a specific business unit or infrastructure layer. The Lead Engineer ensures adherence to rules and defined roadmap, provides horizontal oversight, architectural and technical governance, is responsible for longevity, scalability and resiliency of technical solutions delivered to the customers. Provides thought leadership to technologists within the scope.

Your key responsibilities

  • Development Lead for 3-5+ India based feature teams delivering into the global initiative/programme
  • Work closely with global programme/project leads, Architecture and development teams to agree design, build, and develop
  • Abilities to design, develop and maintain cross-platform services/applications in a sustainable model
  • Work with Central Architecture Board and align solutions with standard reference architecture.
  • Lead the entire lifecycle from concept stage to hosting, delivery and post launch support
  • Collaborate with QA on continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
  • Experienced in standard testing practices (Unit, UI, Functional, Performance, Scalability, Regression etc.)
  • Write technical documentations including design, documentation and training materials
  • Ensure that the banks technology standards and tools are adopted
  • Agile (Scrum) based practices with test driven development
  • Responsible to track and execute end-to-end plans ensuring high quality of delivery.
  • Maintain burn-up/burn-down charts and user story points and assist in estimations.
  • Collaborate with product owners, create and prioritize the backlog
  • Monitor, report performance matrices and risks in a timely manner
  • Responsible to lead teams upto 40-50 members

Your skills and experience

  • Minimum 14+ Years experience in Technology preferably from BFSI background in development and delivery management
  • Proven leadership and motivational skills leading teams upto 40-50 members
  • Strong background in HTML5, CSS3 and native JavaScript, Java, Database application Technologies,
  • Proficient in atleast one of the programming stack (Java, Oracle or UI)
  • Experience in NodeJS, Falcor, React, Redux
  • Experience in Web/Application Servers (Tomcat, Weblogic) and database (Oracle, SQL/PL-SQL)
  • Expertise in problem solving, performance engineering, troubleshooting..etc in a complex production estate
  • Experience protocols and formats (HTTP/HTTPS, Websockets, SOAP, RESTFul, JSON, XML)
  • Experience of micro services architecture
  • Significant experience with and knowledge of Agile design methodologies and process, preferably SAFE Agile
  • Experience in Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games ..etc
  • Experience in Atlassian suite like JIRA, Confluence
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to resolve conflicts
