Your essential responsibilities include:

Gain working knowledge of existing oracle CPQ application and general applications with which CPQ will normally be integrated with.

Reviewing requirements, functional designs and business process documents to assess the best possible designs and then develop these to achieve project objectives.

Ensure team develops, unit test and peer test to maintain high levels of delivered quality. May need to develop on occasions where requirements are complicated and in areas where immediate troubleshooting is required.

Ensure setting up and maintaining a high level of design and coding standards.

Participate and contribute actively in setting and managing quality standards for deliverables through reviews.

Being agile and sensitive to project dynamics and learning from trends and issues and make recommendations to improve the current state continuously.

Providing technical support to teams within the organization and to Customers when required.

Working with all other system teams and negotiating the best solution from an Eaton standpoint, ensuring reliable and sustainable systems integrations.

Setting standards, maintaining and updating technical documents and processes.

Identifying and resolving technical issues.

Coordination and collaboration across various technical and functional teams which are within the project scope. Ensure things are tied together across projects from a functional and technical perspective.

Assessing new patch/release information and recommend implementation plans.

Continuously work through ways of improving development, design and support processes through improvements and innovations.

Identifying impact areas for particular requirements and be able to forewarn on the complexity as well as the provide recommendations.

Monitor vendor deliverables in terms of design quality. Share impacts across vendor and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Having a 4-year college degree in Computer Science or an engineering field.
  • Having an 8-12 years hands on experience in development, design and support on applications with the at least 3-8 years on Oracle CPQ.
  • A forward-thinking person with aptitude to drive key priorities and strategic initiatives of front-end teams (both function/operations) in order to identify the appropriate use of Oracle CPQ technology to meet the strategic objectives, align opportunities/ projects across the operations.
  • A proficient person who demonstrates working knowledge of functional and technical solutions so that they have the ability to decide from multiple alternatives and presents pros and cons and drive towards consensus.
  • A collaborative person who communicates effectively with both technical, functional and business personnel to gather requirements, communicate expectations, identify solutions, and create action plans as well as have proven experience in communications and coordination with across functional teams and other system teams.
  • A courageous person who can challenge the status quo or peers in a constructive way to ensure the best solutions are implemented which will benefit across teams.
  • A motivated individual who has proven earlier experience of being able to execute all responsibilities defined in responsibilities section.
  • Technically proficient having skills across Commerce, BML, pricing, approvals, configuration, integration, Document designer and general configuration management of Oracle (Bigmachines) CPQ.
  • Functionally proficient in all functions across configure, price, quoting, agreements, CRM etc.
  • A mentoring natured individual who can lead teams who may or may not be directly reporting to him/her.
  • A driven individual who can lead on projects if required.
