Job Summary
Build a network of suppliers for Agri Commodities like Sugar, oil, groundnuts, rice, grains
Develop long-term contract with suppliers, monitor continuous supplier performance, and develop supplier relationshipNegotiate the best-in-class price, payment terms, quality levels, and delivery terms for purchased products in line with business objectivesIdentify new and alternate sources of supply as necessary for new and existing categories, cost reduction requirements, and supplier performance issuesPerform all necessary duties to support business goals related supplier quality, total cost, and inventory objectivesMaintain a solid working knowledge of essential commodity trends including: industry trends, cost drivers, global pricing, material lead times, and technical/manufacturing processesLead a team of procurement specialists across the country.Post graduate with 15+ years of professional experienceSignificant experience at procurement of commodities at national levelGood network with suppliers of commoditiesVery strong negotiation skillsMust have the aptitude to work in a fast-paced organization with active listening, negotiation, facilitation, and reasoning skills.Must be comfortable working in an organization with a flat structureProven ability to lead in a collaborative mannerAbility to prioritize, analytical thinker, make trade-off/tough decisionsGreat team player, have sound leadership skills, hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and tasks
