Senior Category Manager - Agri Commodities Job in Elasticrun

Key Responsibilities
Build a network of suppliers for Agri Commodities like Sugar, oil, groundnuts, rice, grains Develop long-term contract with suppliers, monitor continuous supplier performance, and develop supplier relationship Negotiate the best-in-class price, payment terms, quality levels, and delivery terms for purchased products in line with business objectives Identify new and alternate sources of supply as necessary for new and existing categories, cost reduction requirements, and supplier performance issues Perform all necessary duties to support business goals related supplier quality, total cost, and inventory objectives Maintain a solid working knowledge of essential commodity trends including: industry trends, cost drivers, global pricing, material lead times, and technical/manufacturing processes Lead a team of procurement specialists across the country.

Qualifications:Post graduate with 15+ years of professional experience
Skill set
Significant experience at procurement of commodities at national level Good network with suppliers of commodities Very strong negotiation skills Must have the aptitude to work in a fast-paced organization with active listening, negotiation, facilitation, and reasoning skills. Must be comfortable working in an organization with a flat structure Proven ability to lead in a collaborative manner Ability to prioritize, analytical thinker, make trade-off/tough decisions Great team player, have sound leadership skills, hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and tasks
