Job Summary
  • Establishing and executing product strategy, and identify, on board and partner with vendors to drive business growth.
  • Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends
  • Devise long-term development strategies for product categories.
  • Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products.
  • Foster trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services
  • Collaborate with buyers and merchandisers to expand product categories
  • Assume responsibility of budget development and revenue for category
  • Make forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory
  • Managing multiple vendors such as developing and evaluating them on certain parameters & Carrying out optimization of vendors
  • Closely studying past sales data to determine trends in productivity
  • Suggesting adjustments and revisions to promotional strategies to take sales and profitability to the next level.
  • Helping new vendors to meet impossibilities and building relationships with them.
  • Delivering a world-class customer experience and exceptional sales and margin growth for assigned categories.
  • Strategic planning across category for short-term as well as long-term horizons.
  • Determining customer market needs, growing selection across sub-categories, brands and use cases, managing vendor, negotiating and optimizing vendor terms and getting support for marketing campaigns.
  • Build strong relationships with existing vendors and execute negotiations to secure best pricing, sales programs, promotional support, exclusivity, bundling etc.
  • Developing with Pricing team overall pricing strategy and promotional calendar across categories to drive sales and profit goals, by conducting relevant market research on competitors and products.
  • Responsible for ensuring the latest assortments is available on the portal and keep identifying opportunities to bring on new product lines for assigned category/ ies.
  • Identify and develop new market opportunities and create a road-map for category to improve on all key points like returns, cancellations etc.
  • Creating MIS reports, weekly/monthly dashboard on vendor and category performance.
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams for smooth execution of all online backend operations Inventory, Sourcing, CMT, Shipping, Finance, listing, sales etc. and suggest and simplify processes for smooth functioning of operations.

Qualification :
Graduate or Post Graduate in any discipline
Experience Required :

4 to 7 Years
