Responsibilities
The ideal candidate should be any graduate with 10 to 20 years of experience and should have worked in the State Fire Department, in the capacity of Area Fire Office and possess Fire Training with State Fire Department. Should possess thorough knowledge of the NBC -National Building Code. Should be able to manage any sort of emergencies arising due to any natural calamities/Fire. Should have a thorough knowledge of a complete evacuation procedure, from a high raised building. should impart/ensure that all the security staff have completed the above said training (at least twice in a year). should conduct regular checks/refresh & ensure that all are thorough with the knowledge of the said training & procedures. should regularly check all the store (including FC counters) for any fire related issues & the FEs are as per the Fire Norms.( In case of any lapse, he should ensure rectification of the same asap. should ensure, that the store should get rid of any combustible materials, asap, which are of no use. should regularly check all the areas of the Mall & ensure all the areas and the STs are clear from any Fire related issues, viz. ST Block, Combustible items(which of no use) etc. should regularly check all the fixed & portable Fire Fighting installations/equipments & ensure all are in working condition & are as per the norms. should coordinate well during the Fire Inspection/Audits and get all the related departments & anchor tenants to be ready for the Fire Inspection /Audit. should keep all the records updated & ready for any surprise audit/Inspection. should liaise with State Fire departments for the NOC & get the NOC done, before the expiry of the NOC. expected to have a good liaison with the SFO of the Local Fire Station. visit to the Local Fire station as and when required. should conduct Mock Drill, once in a month, to ensure the Fire Marshals & security team are well aware with the procedures & are reporting to the emergency, well within time & further ensure the Fire alarms are in working condition. should conduct a Full Scale Fire Drill with evacuation, in coordination with all the occupants of the Mall and the Fire Department, at least, once a year.
