Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY:
The candidate is expected to draft details independently and in consultation with Design Engineers / Managers, based on the customers technical specifications and in line with the companys internal standards.
The candidate should be able to develop schedule for given assignment , co-ordinate and communicate independentlywith HSC factory team to resolve any issues related to drawings.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Understand the instructions and draft details in consultation with Design Engineer and client specifications.
- Preparation of Bill of material with weights for the drawings made.
- Prepare layouts / sketches / development to check interferences if required.
- Prepare P&I diagrams / Isometrics /sheet metal development plans / erection and installation drawings.
- Carry out first check of drawings prepared by self as well as by the Engg assistant.
- Record keeping of Engineering documents and approved drawings.
- Work in team to achieve the targets set for the projects.
- Maintain time sheet of the time spent on various activities.
- Visit HSC factory as well as Site for any drawing corrections / update layout to suit site conditions.
- Prepare work schedule for Engg assistant.
- Report any concerns / issues in the drawings to the Engineering Manager.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- An engineering's deggrewith a minimum of 50% marks average. An HSC, ITI (Draughtsman course) from a government or private instiution with a minimum of 75% marks may also be considered based on the relevance of his/her experience.
- The incumbent must have a working knowledge and experience in draughting for atleast 7 to 10 years in either steel fabrication , static equipment manufacturing, piping industry.
- Experience in an EPC, Engineering consultancy firm would be also considered as relevant.
- Hands on Experience on Auto-Cad for atleast 4 years is a must.
- Experience on 3D modeling software and / or any other reputed drafting softwares will be considered as additional advantage
- The incumbent must be able to speak in English and/or Hindi and write / communicate in English.
