Job Summary:

As an Industrial Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and executing automation projects from concept to completion. You will work closely with clients to understand their requirements, design tailored automation solutions using Siemens products (such as PLC, HMI, SCADA, and Drives), and oversee the installation, commissioning, and optimization of these solutions. Your role will require a blend of strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to work directly with clients to ensure the successful implementation of automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership:
  Lead the development and execution of industrial automation projects focused on Siemens products such as PLC, HMI, SCADA, and Drives.

• Client Interaction & Site Assessments:
  Conduct on-site assessments to understand client needs and ensure that automation solutions are designed and implemented effectively.

• System Design & Configuration:
  Design, configure, and test automation systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.

• Installation & Commissioning Support:
  Provide on-site support during the installation and commissioning phases, ensuring proper functionality and seamless integration of automation systems.

• Collaboration & Communication:
  Collaborate with clients and project teams to ensure smooth project delivery, effectively managing expectations and maintaining clear communication.

• Documentation:
  Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including functional and technical specifications, system diagrams, and commissioning reports.

• Client Training:
  Conduct training sessions for client personnel on the operation and maintenance of the installed automation systems.

• Safety Compliance:
  Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry best practices during the execution of all projects.

• System Optimization:
  Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of installed systems to improve operational efficiency and reliability.

Working Conditions:

• Travel:
  The role requires travel to client sites, which may include industrial and manufacturing environments.

• Variety of Work Settings:
  You will work in a combination of office and on-site locations. Safety protocols must be followed diligently when working in industrial settings.

• Project Execution:
  The engineer must demonstrate flexibility in managing projects across various settings, ensuring all safety standards are maintained during each project phase.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Educational Background:
  A Diploma, BE/B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics or a related field.

• Experience:
  1-3 years of experience in Industrial Automation, particularly with Siemens PLC, HMI, SCADA, and Drives.

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Siemens automation products (PLC, HMI, SCADA, Drives).

  • Proficiency in automation system design, configuration, and testing.

  • Knowledge of industrial control systems and automation protocols.

• Project Management:
  Experience in managing projects from conception to delivery, with the ability to meet deadlines, communicate effectively with clients, and deliver high-quality results.

• Client Interaction & Communication:
  Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working directly with clients, understanding their requirements, and managing their expectations.

• Troubleshooting & Support:
  Ability to provide on-site troubleshooting, commissioning support, and resolve any system issues promptly.

• Documentation:
  Competence in creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation, ensuring clear record-keeping of project specifications and progress.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Siemens TIA Portal or other advanced Siemens tools.

• Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards for industrial automation.

• Experience in delivering training to client personnel.
