Job Summary
Create and maintain software documentation Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs Integrate data from various back-end services and databases Maintain, expand, and help scale the customer's website and related subdomains Stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends. Apply learning s to web teams operation and activities Work with web designers to match visual design intent Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices Ability to multitask with strict time constraints, budgets and business goals Ability to quickly learn new processes and technologies Bachelor's degree in computer science or 5+ years of equivalent work experience Deep functional knowledge or hands-on design experience with APIs and web services (e.g. REST, SOAP, etc) Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills Experience in building, managing and maintaining websites using an enterprise-level CMS or static site generator Expert experience with front end development languages and web libraries such as HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript, and JQuery Self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, and responsible team-player Strong communications skills to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Strong understanding of User Interface (UI), cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards Experience developing within Bloomreach Experience Manager and WordPress content management system (CMS) Experience in creating and modifying FreeMarker templates Experience with Gatsby.js and/or Antora static site generator Experience with tag management systems (e.g. Google Tag Manager) and developing handlers for tracking analytics events Solid understanding of backend programming languages including PHP and Java Understanding Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices Working knowledge of Content Delivery Networks such as Akamai.
