Legal Counsel Job in Ihsmarkit

Scope of the Role:

• Confidently draft agreements and India-specific policies and procedures in support of ApplyBoard s emerging business needs.
• Be a key team player and leader for privacy and data protection in India.
• Support ApplyBoard s internal stakeholders with real-time creative problem solving.
• Draft and review complex commercial agreements and help support various types of procurement needs.
• Negotiate agreements and other contractual terms in collaboration with relevant business managers by providing sound legal-business solutions.
• Anticipate, identify & analyze legal issues of concern and issues related to commercial risks.
• Proactively develop effective legal strategies, present clear recommendations and assure legal compliance.
• Identify the need for and implement new and/or updated organizational guidelines based on local legislation and directives.
• Manage, liaise with and oversee the use of external service providers, including external counsel.
• Trademark and IP protection related monitoring and support.
• Provide basic research and insights to team Canada on ad-hoc basis.

What you bring to the table:

• Legal Counsel with 3-6 years of experience, with significant commercial and/or corporate drafting experience as an asset.
• Privacy and data governance experience would be an asset.
• Previous in-house experience in technology and/or financial services would be an asset.
• Collaborative style and desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to creative problem solving.
