MERCHANDISER
Qualification / Experience : Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising or a related field, such as Marketing/Textile/Apparel. Relevant experience of 5-8 yrs in Fashion Merchandising. Experience in Women Ethnic Wear Merchandising would be preferred.
Requirements :
1. To ensure products appear in the right store, or on a website, at the appropriate time and in the correct quantities (as per 5Rs of merchandising: right merchandise, right price, right time, right place, right quantities)
2. Forecasting industry and fashion trends with their target markets in mind.
3. Coordinating with designers to generate new ideas on products that consumers will purchase most.
4. Sourcing raw materials considering the taste and preferences of target market (colour, style, size, cost preference, etc). These decisions all contribute to final retail costs, which must be affordable to end consumers.
5. Quality Testing Fabric, Fiber, Yarn, Accessories, etc. Coordination with Production Manager & Quality Checkers to maintain company goals and quality standards along with the quality standards acceptable limit to each buyer
6. Coordinating with the packing department to pack the goods as per the style.
7. Comparing the actual & budgeted cost to ascertain the profitability.
