Job Description
Overview An exciting transformation journey is underway at Link Group with the objective of establishing best in class data and analytics capabilities across the group. The global Data and Analytics COE will ensure that the group is able to leverage its vast data IP, achieve efficiencies and drive innovative solutions with enablers such as AI. A successful BI and Data practices is fundamental to the achievement of the Analytics strategy As part of the COE, establishment and successful execution of Mumbai Hub based capabilities is the lynchpin of success. A rare opportunity has come up for an experienced and innovative BI & Data leader to join our leadership team and be responsible for defining and driving this journey that will support both COO EMEA and the broader Link Group in APAC. The Lead Business Intelligence & Data will be accountable for all aspects of Data Management and BI in Mumbai Hub ensuring that the COE is fully supported in its growth. This will include:- Create and lead Mumbai based data development capability balancing both cost and quality
- Create and lead Business intelligence capabilities as part of the Global COE
- Working collaboratively with peers globally to identify and execute process efficiencies
- Collaborating with partners such as internal technology teams (Architecture & Platforms, Development) to ensure a consistent data management approach
- Introducing leading practices in data management and Business Intelligence
Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities
- Establish, lead and guide a distributed team of data and BI professionals.
- Manage and optimize global capacity and delivery at scale
- Establish capabilities and consistent development standards
- Deliver data requirements to support Business Intelligence, AI/Innovative Analytics
- Achieve process efficiencies through automation
- Work with India based partners to bring in expertise as required
- Develop and maintain appropriate documentation
- Collaborate closely with EMEA and APAC teams for joint success
- Communicate at senior levels to ensure visibility of success and benefits
- Champion processes for data management including collection, storage and protection and quality within COO EMEA and COO APAC
- Manage the budget for associated resources and initiatives
- Work closely on the on-going Link wide data-working group (Link Data Council) to embed a culture of data sharing and usage across the company
- Collaborate with peers in the selection of tools, including the piloting and selection of data governance, quality, reporting and analysis software

- Manage change within the Team, providing direction, guidance and support to the people who are implementing change and those having to adapt to change
- Support a strong Customer First service culture and uphold Link values while driving a high performance, innovative culture in the Team
- Provide leadership support to ongoing business planning and visioning for the division
- Lead processes to engage stakeholders, including employers, the client and service providers, to ensure delivery against service levels
- Deliver consistent leadership practices, behaviors and principles including 1:1 time, coaching, reward and recognition focus, expectation setting, and communication and performance development.
- Identify and nurture future leaders within the team.
- Manage the development and maintenance of workforce forecasting and resource planning models for the team to determine resourcing requirements that will support delivery of services to agreed budgets and quality standards. This includes overseeing the collection and classification of historical data and analyzing the trends that affect resourcing and workloads in the team
- Plan the resourcing requirements of the Team, using the forecast, to enable delivery against service levels and to build team capability
- Work with key stakeholders to identify new opportunities for operational efficiencies
- Contribute to the development of individual, business unit and divisional KPIs consistent with contractual SLA s, and manage the team consistent with these
- Ensure that systems are in place to track and monitor team performance against set KPIs and meet all regular internal, client and financial reporting obligations
- Prepare management reports as required to analyze performance, determine actual work volumes vs forecast, identify gaps and reassess future forecasts, and outline areas for improvement for individuals and the team.
- Participate in a monthly service improvement forum to highlight recommendations and implement improvements
- Drive a coaching culture within the team to identify potential risks and build capability
- Develop a strong culture within the team of adherence to legislative, compliance, policy and procedural requirements including adherence to a review schedule for the Procedures Manual.
- Uphold, safeguard and promote the organizations Code of Conduct, values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, integrity, corporate (social) responsibility, amongst others
- Lead by example and encourage all employees to conduct their activities in accordance with all applicable laws and the Company s standards and policies
Experience & Personal Attributes
- 15+ years of experience with emphasis in transitions, operations and project management. A stint with a BFSI captive is an added advantage
- A post-graduation management degree from a premier institute, or similar, will be preferred
- Minimum of 15+ years of professional experience with Bi & Data in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum 5 years of team management and functional leadership experience
- Proven experience in working in a multi country delivery team
- Ability to communicate to both business and technology audiences
- Good understanding of business intelligence, process automation and visualisation.
- Deep understanding of database design, ETL, SQL, Azure, Power BI
- Practitioner level skills in Agile and dev ops
- Team management, able to inspire, motivate and develop diverse teams.
- Experience from a similar role in in a global Financial Services or consulting organisation is highly preferred.
- The ideal candidate will have a mix of industry and consulting experience.
- Is persistent and perseverant, articulate and a visionary leader with strong credibility and who takes initiatives
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills, good presentation skills and excellent negotiation skills. Ability to engage with senior management across boundaries
- Self-motivated, action and result oriented
- Good staff skills able to coach and mentor staff
- High proficiency with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, exposure to tools such as tableau are added advantage
- Eye for detail and very strong with numbers
- Outstanding organisation skills, ability to multitask and make decisions under pressure
