Job Title: Manufacturing Digitisation

Designation: Sr. Manager (L5M/L5DH)

Description:

M&M is seeking to deploy digital connectivity solutions for manufacturing across multiple factories and locations. These involve medium and large size projects leveraging PLC controls, MES ,IIoTdustrial networking systems, SCADA, Big datadustrial security and associated technology enablers the automotive domain.

While using scalable architectures and concepts for projects, the vision is to achieve a high density of connected assets and people through accelerated implementation schedules.

We are looking for an Manufacturing digitisation lead, with experience in Sensorics, signal conditioningdustrial networks, with a foundation of statistical analytics and exposure to MES in a manufacturing environment. Candidate will lead the Advanced digitization in manufacturing of various projects covered under this initiative.

Responsibilities:

As a Scoping and Definition Lead,he/she will be responsible for leading and architecting of solutions for digitization of machinery and processes, by leading shop floor, machine and process studies, discussing and supporting optimized solutions. He/ She will need to understand the data inputs available from machines, processes etc. and co-relate with objectives associated with specific projects, existing business goals, leverage existing solutions, to arrive at the comprehensive architecture required. As such he/she will need to make comparative analysis of various data extraction , data sampling and local/remote data storage (DB) methods, to suit appropriate application scenarios. He/She will need to have demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following: IIoT sensors, actuators & interfaces, Data extraction and edge calculations, Parameter sampling validation and storage, Embedded controls,Edge analysis sampling and data normalization, Scenario creation for prediction of faults & performance,Selection, implementation, revision of key transfer functions of machines,Creating CPS for critical assets.

He/She shall help to derive the visualization and interfaces for a range of manufacturing digitization initiatives.

Responsibilities will include extensive detailing of machine and shop floor processes. Understanding Key performance relationships of the same with Quality, Throughput, Production Planning, Scheduling , Process Audit, etc. and mapping the same vis -a vis proposed architecture and offer preparation. Understanding of Processes with reference to : Quality and RCA CAPA co-relations- Line Automation and RPA,Process Signature- baseline creation and escalation matrix- Key Processes, Automation and integration of SQC into MES, Automation of Quality Audit, Identification of Key Processes for digital connectivity, Mapping of Value Addition.

Understanding of Creation and maintenance of Local & Global process data repositories ,Library creation for Key Processes & Devices, Process co relations, automation and triggers with learning.

He/She will be responsible for preparing techno commercial offer, engagement details for projects, milestones in coordination with project execution team and vendors, and maintaining project tracking status across multiple projects. Moreover, he/she will need to develop vendor eco system for this area, beyond the existing systems, to offer a wide variety of technical and commercial alternatives for solutions.

The role needs to support cross functional teams of internal deployment teams, customers and vendors across various stages of the requirement finalization process till the ordering stage, hence close coordination with existing project teams, deploying standardized solutions is a must.

Requirements:

Candidates must possess a BE degree in any of the following: Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Instrumentation. Sound technical knowledge of industrial control systems and MES IIoT ecospace, with minimum of 10 years experience in implementation of MES, IIoT projects. Preferred hands on experience in PLC programming, Kepware, Tag mappingdustrial control buses (Modbus TCP/IP, Profinet, Profibus etc). Hands on experience with Sensors, and Siemens/Schneider/Rockwell/Mitsubishi/ etc PLCs.Functional understanding of data sampling , signal conditioning, and analysis of linear and non -linear systems.Understanding of Production environment, business indicators such as Inventory, Uptime, Throughput, downtime, OEE, etc is essential. Hands on exposure to industrial device configuration and capability like industrial bar codes RFID, wireless devices, analogue digital sensors. Good understanding of automation enablers and concepts such as various power devices and associated second degree phenomenon , eg Motors, Vibration sensors and applied areas, hydraulic power packs , pressure sensors, positioning of devices etc.

Experience of minimum 10 years on project deployments, development of IIoT solutions in automotive /manufacturing industry or similar, with solution architecting experience , project documentation and leading teams for integration projects.

Excellent spoke written communication, visualisation and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to relate technology solutions, to actual conditions in manufacturing set ups.

Reporting: This position reports to Delivery Head- Manufacturing IT
