Job Summary

Responsibilities:

  • Build NAND product/Testchip test development, validation, characterization & qualification
  • Partner with Process Integration, yield engineering to improve overall die yield and meet the critical milestones planned for the testchip
  • NAND product test mode definition and applications
  • Build Pre-silicon conceptual design and preparation work
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering on DFT implementation, Pre-Si verification and Post Si validation of DFT features.
  • Run Verilog (Digital) and Analog design simulations, Analyze, Debug Pre & Post silicon Full Chip designs from functional, speed, datapath and power circuitry points of view.
  • Utilize engineering bench, wafer level microprobing and testers to perform device characterization, data sheet spec checks, electrical failure analysis (EFA), identify design anomalies & marginalities.
  • Build Design novel test algorithms and develop test programs for validating and characterizing NAND features, commands, timings and currents. Use high-speed tester hardware to perform functional and design validation of new NAND devices.
  • Prepare bench programs, software tools, and hardware interfaces for initial silicon for new non-volatile semiconductor memory products. Process and implement special requests for enabling silicon debug throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Test Solutions Engineering on test code development.
  • Drive NAND issue resolution taskforce and debug efforts, especially during critical first Silicon issues & system level testing (internal and external customers).
  • Self-driven capability to coordinate with global Design Engineering, Probe, Fab, Technology Development, Component Testing, System Integration, Application Engineering for volume data collection, analysis, identifying trends, root causing observed deviations/anomalies & coming up with innovative long term robust solutions. Sense of ownership is essential.

Qualifications:

Excellent data analysis, problem solving, and decision-making skills.

Strong foundation of mixed-signal VLSI such as analog circuits and systems, digital logic and RTL design. Knowledge of Flash memory architecture and operation is a plus

Solid understanding of semiconductor characterization techniques and equipment

Knowledge of bench testing equipment (o-scope, logic analyzer, Nextest Magnum, Advantest etc) is a plus.

Knowledge of statistics and data analysis tools

Knowledge in writing testbenches in SV, Verilog, Verilog-AMS, Spice is a plus.

Excellent project management skills

Self-motivated and enthusiastic

Demonstrated ability to partner successfully with other groups to build strong peer relationships and meet customers needs.

Commitment to Learn & improvement

Technical Skills:

Simulation software know-how (e.g. Verilog, Synopsis VCS) is a plus

Software development proficiency (e.g. C-based programming) and scripting (e.g. Perl, Python) would be an added advantage

Effective communication and presentation skills

Experience in device modelling in TCAD and MATLAB and Device Fabrication is a plus

Strong fundamentals in device physics, digital logic design, CMOS analog VLSI design

Tools knowledge: Teradyne's Magnum, Verilog, ModelSim, Cadence Virtuoso, Oscilloscope

Knowledge on Yield3, JMP is a plus.

Education:

  • This position requires a Master s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related disciplines.
  • Course work in VLSI technology, analog/digital circuits, semiconductor processing and semiconductor device physics
