Job Description

The Instructional Designer is a key resource for the PLS Training Design and Delivery Function. The role is crucial in the learning design and solution development phase for all service offerings provided by Training Design and Delivery. This position will be pivotal in establishing a robust and quality driven learning service catalogue including digital learning deployment and incorporating latest industry advances in instructional design. The position liaises with Learning Project Managers (LPM), Capability Building Partners (CBP) and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to design and author learning solutions from the complex to the very simple employing adult learning theory, appropriate didactic methods, experiential learning and digital technology.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Applies solid instructional design methodology, including adult learning theory, interac-tive activities, and competency-based evaluations to produce high quality, interactive learning solutions.
Authors e-learning modules using tools such as Articulate, Captivate, Flash, Lectora.
Liaises with LPMs and CBPs and other stakeholders to review and agree solutions and add value.
As an integral part of the learning team, the Instructional Designer reviews offerings from vendors to ensure they meet standards set out by the PLS Training Design and Delivery.
Drives the review and repurposing of existing content to optimize the effectiveness and productivity of existing learning offerings.
Build and develop strong sustainable relationships with all internal and external stake-holders, working collaboratively with them to achieve common goals and share knowledge and best practice
Is the expert in instructional design for the PLS Training Design and Delivery function, driving the use of technology and the reduction in reliance on face to face classroom learning.

Minimum requirements

* Degree or third level qualification related to Teaching/Training advantageous
* Instructional design qualification essential.
* Project Management qualification desirable
* Fluent in written and spoken English, other languages an advantage
* 4+ years in Instructional Design with experience in delivering learning solutions in the Pharma or Healthcare industry
* Experience working in a global Learning Department.
* Project management skills and communication skills
